It’s probably because I had a mother selling real estate I knew from the beginning that my beloved job is crazy sometimes, very fulfilling most of the time and doesn’t focus much on looking at houses!
I would like to toot my own horn by saying, that I’ve had my license since 1990, and my experience matters! It’s my opinion the biggest mistake sellers make is focusing on marketing when choosing an agent. The thing that’s difficult to quantify and explain the importance of, is structuring a complex negotiation. I am extremely proud of the work I’ve done for clients that they may not be able to even fully appreciate. The deal mostly gets hard when it falls apart, right? There are lots of real estate agents willing to practice on clients because, “they don’t know what they don’t know”. I know what they don’t!
Working with buyers is very satisfying work and lots of fun! I learn so much about my clients and their families, and it makes them matter to me above and beyond the transaction. I know that my clients appreciate and rely on my expertise in the market and I appreciate the validation more than I can say.
Selling real estate came long before my own family did, but my husband John, daughter Katie, and son Patrick give me a new perspective in what I do. Life is more complicated, but much richer, and it’s my hope that they have made me better in service.
For the clients I have had and those whom I have not yet met, I am grateful for each and everyone.
With a long career of real estate sales, Karen is one of Glen Ellyn and Wheaton’s “go to” agents, known for impeccable judgement and uncompromising integrity.
Karen knows that a home is so much more than bricks, mortar, square feet and an address. She has a comprehensive knowledge of the market, financing, construction and is often known for having the “inside scoop”.
If you find yourself thinking you are the most important client that Karen has ever had, you are right, because you are!
Your home is more than an important investment, it’s a place where memories are made. Your choice of a real estate broker is the critical first step to helping you find the right home or the right buyer. As a broker, being able to listen to clients and understand their needs is first and foremost. Real estate has been my passion although my background in financial services has prepared me well.
Living in the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton area for almost 25 years, I understand the local market and sellers alike. I have 3 children in high school and college and have been very involved in the local schools.
With my knowledge of the area and the market, I promise you a great home buying and selling experience.
As an ASP home stager, my eye for color, sense of style and use of space combine to give direction to prospective home sellers. My staging career has brought my love of helping people in to helping them prepare their homes for sale.
My family has lived in Wheaton for over 17 years. I love the sense of community with neighbors helping each other where our roots are planted.
Being able to bring my passion and compassion to such an important transition in peoples lives is rewarding. I go above and beyond to make sure their vision is brought to life.
